I started this specifically because I wanted to have a forum where I could discuss the issue of deafness, in its many forms, on the web. I am a mother of two and have a cochlear implant. I was deafened in my early 20's. I've found it sad how hard it is to find people who have similar experiences in real life. I feel that gather needs a group like this. I hope that you feel that way too.

So feel free to post your feelings and experiences with deafness (you don't have to be deaf). Everyone's opinion is welcome. Issues such as deaf parenting, deaf education, being deaf in th workplace etc. are all welcome to be discussed here.
